Love (The Heart's Wine)

Love (The Heart's Wine)

A Poem by purpleman17

I see your eyes from across the way

is today our lucky day or just mine?

and if no shall I recline into a dismal state of self loathing

wealth? clothing? is that what turns you on?

can we dance until dawn?

or watch the stars out on the lawn?

where can I sign to make you mine?

the dotted line can I find in your eyes or your smile?

the motion that your hips make

that s**t makes me quiver

the sweetest kiss your lips deliver

I shiver at the thought of the men before me

do I compare?

you ask me, "That spot in your chest, is there love in there?"

silent as the tomb my heart resides in

I wonder, are you the one that I can confide in

if love's a vessel let it be the one that we ride in.
