Ice and Winter

A Poem by paul sal.....

                                        Ice and Winter
                                        Your time,this time
                                        Is at an end.

The birth of Spring is sitting
atop your crest and it is time
for you to move aside, for
                                        fighting Springs' advent
                                        is a useless endeavor.

                                        Slumber for now
                                        Your time will come again.

Slumber for now
Your time will come again.
If there is hill there is a valley, our winter is almost at the end, yes now winter needs to slumber for sure, fully agree with the poet, glad some one said that so firmly, ready for spring in every sense, enjoyed, before the next winter of life comes, wish to be off stage, so next winter for someone or none, enjoyed

I particularly like the way you speak of the end without fear nor joy, just neutrality. It adds another whole segment to the spectrum of emotions felt when you spoke of the end, of which I first perceived as nods to the death of one and the thriving of another; although that might simply be cause of my general outlooks on life itself. This was calming, like telling a child to rest.
