Today

                                       Today, I raked some leaves and

                                       talked to an angel,

                                       we talked about life

                                       and the wonders  

                                       it brought us.

                                       We talked about trees

                                       and the shade  

                                       we thought of

                                       the cool nights

                                       ahead is the 

                                       summer 

                                       we dreamed of.

What I always love about your poetry is how uplifting it seems to be, how you speak of the joys and optimism of life, and the beauty of it. Well done, you've captured a peaceful day quite nicely. I also particularly like the way you talk to an angel and speak of it so plainly, as if you were equal to the angel and the angel was equal to you. It definitely adds to the whole piece knowing there is no sort of hierarchy.

thank you; wouldn't it be cool if we could talk to angels? Then perhaps we would take the time to appreciate the beauty of the world, maybe then we'd stop screwing up the planet with pollution and pesticides and gunpowder and tanks and......................
