Just For The Night

Just For The Night

A Poem by phoebe wells
"

innocent acts are not always how one perceives them to be

"

Just for the night,

Just for the night but your soul too, please ?

I beg of you, just for the night

I require one thing more, leave your coat, your hat also!

You will be safe, cared for, even embraced

I will take nothing

We will take everything

One night, an eclipse shall occur

The whole world will remain silent

You can ponder, ask

No, no not obtain

Just for the night

Fragment by fragment I will remove it

It will return, remember? I am borrowing it

So I lay you down, I glance

Starring now, it’s different than how I remember

Suddenly my eyes are watering, I’ve forgotten my name now

Borrowing, how amusing

That this feels as stealing

For I can’t remember what the sky looks like

Or why I brought my coat, hat too

Confusion has taken my name,

Innocence was left long  before this door
