The Princess Poem

The Princess Poem

A Poem by Qavah Simchah

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who’s the coldest one of all?

After the spell is cast,
We’ll spin together fast,
I’ll kiss you with my stains,
Won’t let you know my name

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who’s the coldest one of all?

My soft words cannot stop
Rose petals’ dying drop;
I’ll run away at last
Leaving frost-shattered glass

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who’s the coldest one of all?

Who I am is buried deep,
Hanging from waves underneath,
So dive into me or fall;
Stay trapped inside my wall

Dance me through your royal ball…
I’m the coldest one of all.

I love it.
Can't answer so many why's.
Feel like a little princess playing capriciously with her loving prince.

Nice flow of thoughts in the poem. Being the coldest allowed us to be on the wrong path. I like the repetition. Gave strength to the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
