This is My Pride

This is My Pride

A Poem by Qavah Simchah

Love is not a rainbow
or an arch that ends
Love is a cross
That never bends
Carried by One
Who felt the cost
of choosing forgiveness
And seeking the lost

My pride is not found
In the stature of men
Or kings and courts
Or laws they penned

I boast in a humbler authority:
Christ, dying for sin, was made alive!
No longer striving to be free,
I have a Love Who never dies.
