Seconds of Sunlight

Seconds of Sunlight

A Poem by Qavah Simchah

Seconds of sunlight
Strewn through the gray
God's mercy is my Hope and Stay

When I'm tossed within the storm
His seconds of glory
Keep me warm

Seconds of sunlight
Pour through the gray
Light beams fall in every break

Love is found beyond the pain
All my losses are His gain;

God wrestled freedom from death's chains
With seconds of sunlight
In my grave

Now, it is my gray no more
That rests upon His sunlit shore,
But His life in me
Breaks the sand
And I am sunlight
In His hand

Seconds of sunlight
Strewn through the gray,
Heavenly Sunlight
I am saved!
