I Promise You

I Promise You

A Poem by Qavah Simchah

Don't fall in love with the image of me,
Don't fall in love with the words.
I make myself who you want to see,
I hide away the hurt

My image isn't what you need;
My words won't quench your thirst.
Let our love be in truth and deed,
And seek God's glory first

If this is in His will for me,
He will make it more than fantasy...

Since He fulfills my life's destiny
And He completes my identity,
If you fall in love with the image of me,
Let the cross of Christ
Be all you see.

Let us love Him first,
In truth and deed,
And bring God glory!
