Last Dance

Last Dance

A Poem by Jofer Serapio
"

emo...

"

As I lay behind satin sheets

As I drone on and pretend to be asleep

Fear beckons me to awaken

Doubts cloud my mind

I'm stirred and a little bit shaken

As I try to get back to sleep

As I run from my ghosts

Scrambling to be freed

I freeze, dead on my tracks

As I hear my stalkers' creed

Shadows as silhouettes

Cold and emotionless stares

I break down in tears

I kneel and die

Washed in mud and blood

"Blazing hearts ignited with passion

Broken and cast aside

Like garbage, like yesteryear's news

You are a murderer, master of homicide

Your time's up, pay your debts and die"

I listen to them all

Their words piercing my worn out heart

Until my tears turn to blood

Crimson and iron
