mockingbird

mockingbird

A Poem by quinn
"

Just a weird-a*s poem I wrote today.

"

can you see the

bright meadow flowers and the

sun catching a sparkle on the water

rushing by she said

no i can't but

let me tell you

i can taste the sun and

feel the vibrations of

butterfly wings and

i can hear the trees

discuss how they've

been

i can hear the mockingbirds let me

sing them a melody

can you hear them listen

i can hear them listen to me

they all fall silent at the sound of my

croaky whistle and understand

every note i sing to them is

rimmed with pain

i might not be able to see the beauty of this

spring

but let me tell you i can

taste feel hear it

darling
