the imagined enigma

the imagined enigma

A Poem by Destiny

may I ask where
you came from
who you are
your eyes always closed
dreaming of days of a distant past
and days of the impending future
forearms covered in tattoos
e equals em cee squared and a
lyrical convent
of lines from songs you
or anyone else wrote

you’re a writer
aka a pathological liar
through people
you call characters
(but are really your
mixed up personalities)
preaching to me
your neurotic tendencies
through text messages
& tumblr posts

you let your creations stand tall
and sling around
their pride
like caged animal
throwing food"

you’re a f*****g enigma
a bright light at the end
of the dark corridor

did i just create you
an island mirage
at the edge
of my mind’s ocean"
who are you &
where did you come from?
