One Less Excuse

One Less Excuse

A Poem by Rachelah
"

After accepting your excuses for so long, I am tired of your bull. That lame excuse does not work for me anymore, I am gone

"

Drank too much
World in a have
Can barely focus
Mind's a little dazed

You told me you do this
to dull out the pain
Well you made a mistake
for hours you have lain

Regretting, fretting, mourning
wishing there was a fix
Wishing you could be saved
from the torturous flames that lick

It will chase you forever
Doesn't matter where you hide
No matter how much you imbibe
The rules you did not abide

Your excuse is "This is how I escape,
forget my worries a while."
As soon as you are sober, you remember
Never again will you deserve my smile

So keep taking the coward's way out
Keep hiding
keep losing
keep lying
keep being without
