Drifting For Forever

Drifting For Forever

A Poem by Rachel Landes

Smash my phone
On the floor
I am no longer afraid
To feel

Break me
Or hate me
Nothing can hurt me
If everything hurts

Drug to drug
Night to night
Got to drag feet
Through the day

Slip on snow
Black on white
You are not seeing red
Because you are not seeing

Know things as if I learnt things
Lived as if I am already old
Done what no one else does
But still I am not even started

This is only going to get
Crazier and messier
And however messed up this gets
I cannot get out

Because I still have a pen
And a paper
And so I will keep getting paper
And I will
Still
Be still

Forever
Drifting
Down
