Watch and Wait

Watch and Wait

A Poem by r
"

random creative moment

"

The little bird waits

to spread it's wings and soar

they have dreams and aspirations

things to do and more

the caterpillar waits

hiding its cocoon

one day a butterfly'll emerge

flying thru the sun and moon

the pregnant lady waits

9 long grueling months

searching for the perfect things

with the one she loves

the dying man waits

on his death bed

"try not to miss me when I'm gone"

next thing you know he's dead

waiting is a fact of life

waiting all the time

when you think you're out of patience

remember this little rhyme

I was in the Army for 15 years. Our line was hurry up and wait. My unit once waited three days for a plane to take us home. I like the logic of this poem. The ending part was my favorite. A excellent poem.

Life is all about patience and waiting for things. Whether we like it or not, we must do it.
