Here Come The Basques

Here Come The Basques

Here come the Basques as they march down the street
They hold their heads high like they’re the elite

ETA march through the alfalfa
Euskadi ta Askatasuna

Which they mean to say with such clarity
Basque Fatherland and Liberty

In Spain and France they cause major damage
Surprisingly they speak their own language

National officials and government buildings
Are where the Basques like to make their killings

It all began with Francisco Franco
Continued by successor Luis Blanco

He ordered the Basques to drop their culture
If disobeyed they would all suffer torture

Eventually, if they did not comply
All of the Basques would surely die

Finally they said “enough is enough
Now is the time for us to get tough”!

They terrorized public and exploited the bomb
A plead for acceptance in their war song

But now Mikel Antza is locked up in France
Yet the Basques may still have a slight chance

To spread fear in the eyes of all who oppose
The religion and culture that ETA chose
