Forbidden Fruit

Forbidden Fruit

A Poem by Rachel
"

its about "sweetness"

"
Everywhere I turn
I see him.
I feel him.
I breathe him.

His smile.
His rock hard abs.
His hugs.
His swiss army cologne.

The flirting.
The smiles.
The laugh.
The kindness.
The joking.
The touching.

He's taken.
He's older.
He wants a different job.
He may be leaving.

He is such a gentleman.
I long to be with him.
Ugh how I'll miss him.
Why is he so perfect and yet so wrong?

This piece comes across as a long sigh... emotionally woven into thought, question and the unknown. I loved the last line in this peices because it brings together two opposing forces. Perfection is in the eye of the beholder, thus your own unique individual view on a person. While the wrong part is the view of the masses. It can be frustrating when the group thought conflicts with the individual thought.

Another great poem!

This poem is... well the word that pops into my head is pleasant, but that doesn't feel right. Generally, simplistic poems are not my cup of tea, but this one works quite well. It creates a rather poignant image of longing. Well done.
