Summertime

Summertime

A Poem by Audrey Bowers

dandelions growing near a pond
dewy grass glistening in the sun
clear blue skies that's all I want
summertime can you please arrive?
toes in the water, hands in the sand
my days spent spontaneous,
and they won't be planned
summertime can you please arrive?
because you understand me
unlike wintertime.
