One Promise

One Promise

A Poem by Rifatt Mir

Boats parked long the shore.
everyone's gone home,long gone.
Dim lights getting dimmer,
I am sailing in the middle of this dark dark deep river, long known.
Come quietly in a blink,
lest!its too dark to find my way, lost our way.
Come quietly!Listen close.
It beats for you.
Listen close!what it says.
Stay,don't go away
Smash it but call it home.
Or sway on beats
Hold my hand, whisper all those lies
Over again.
Make me smile a lot.
Look me in my eyes, awake some dreams,The enchantment.
But before you tell me those fairy tales;
Tell me its fantasy,fiction
Untrue yet beautiful.
When thunder roars,Take me in your arms.
The Only noice I hear; The heart beats,
Confessing that you care.
Make me warm and heavenly,
Just One more time.
I am cold and alone.
The windy nights are scary,
The boat is yet to wreck.
Of all those promises,keep one.
Sit next to me with an oar.
Moor my boat,take me home.
