A Prayer for a Loved One Away

A Prayer for a Loved One Away

A Poem by C.L. Wilson

written for the page master's challenge 12.

"

OH Father of Everything!

Guard her well

And let her demon fail

And send thy angels to surround her

Whispering in her ear

God is here, never fear

And in the back drop

Let the trumpets roar

But softly so that she doesn’t startle

This is really a beautiful piece. The story you are telling can be anything, and makes the reader wonder who this woman is and what her demons are. Your writing really allures me, because it seems to be so well thought out and gently placed on the page. The slight rhymes you used here worked well, also.

Wonderful writing in this piece, I'm eager to look at more of your work.

Beautifully expressed.
Accompanies the artwork quite nicely

Pretty.. I like the last two lines, because in the painting the woman seems to be lost in some vision while the angels (talk?) and raise a fuss behind her back.
It's a very interesting piece of art, I wonder where the artist was in their thoughts when they bought it to life.
