Interstellar

Interstellar

A Poem by ...

We are like two interstellar objects
you and I
slowly circling each other
surrounded by darkness
yet aware only of each other
stuck in each other's embrace
doomed by our own gravitas
Slowly we will draw closer
until we collide in a cataclysm of light
banishing the darkness
To become a remote incandescent body
Constructed of our demise
We burn bright and febrile
Scintillating as we orbit our fate
And a million years from our inception
The world will see our luminescence
As if we had only just begun
And our universe will be sempiternal
Existing forever within the evanescent
