Broken Wings

This poem is about being 'forever lost' in intricate detail.

I look away
The breath so faint
Skin, blindingly fair
And love to taint
Red...
It paints the air
I scream in pain
Sorrowly to be found
I scream anguishly
...there's no sound

 

So twist
With spinal fine
Deadliest kiss
Running...
Running out of time

 

And it burns out
All that I hear
I see it now
Oh, so clear
Wasted space
I've let you go
Numbing the pain
I refuse to show

 

The prayers
Awaken through the night
Delicately damaged
And no will to fight
Her protecting love
Well, that Angel sings
Never lose Her words
...Even Angels lose their wings...
