Chocolate Pantoum

Chocolate Pantoum

A Poem by readingblock
"

My synopsis of social inequalities and how they are managed

"
Gently nudged by her counterpart
She fell into the abyss
And has since been climbing back
To the beautiful home just out of reach

You watched her fall into the abyss
Pity, contempt, relief at her fate
Your beautiful home just out of reach
Maybe someday you will enjoy it

Rage, contempt, bitterness at her fate
She climbs and climbs with relief in mind
That she may enjoy your beautiful home
Pity, she wants to take revenge

She climbs and climbs with your demise in mind
Dreaming of the blood colored floor that will one day be hers
Pity, what yours will soon be hers
Just as she reaches the top, the light just in reach

She is gently nudged by her counterpart
And has since been climbing back
