Hypnotic

Hypnotic

A Poem by Matthew
"

What will you do when the clock reaches zero?

"
Time runs away but we never know
Life flees in spite because we have nothing to show

Can’t help the light when it tries to take flight
We all just keep heaving with our might

Can you guess what’s coming down today?

I’ve lost all reasons and I just can’t get by
I watch all life, and then I try and try

Can’t you guess what’s coming down today?

We’ve lost all our reasons because there wasn’t a damn thing to show
We held all the light in our hands, but just like life, it cries because it knows

Hypnotic cries bury me in cryptic wires
I try to break free, but I get tired

You don’t know what’s coming down today

Life draws parallels with light, and then it all comes together as one
I was left in my hypnotic burial, and then I become all but none

I don’t know what’s coming down today
Time will tell as it ticks away
