The Yellow Tree

The Yellow Tree

A Poem by Rebecca James age 10
"

a place i want to be...

"
The sunlight brushes
The blowing branches
Leaves sprinkle across
The ground
As the birds fly
Round and round
Under the yellow tree I sit
Under the yellow tree

A river passes me
Clear and long
Under this tree I will be
A proud and wonderful
Swan
Wants me to write this
Song
As fishes leap
And dive
Deep
Under this tree i will be

A world of nature
I watch
Birds sing as I touch
The clean air
The music of nature
Is beautiful
As it flows through
My land
You'll find me under
This tree
