Amative.

Amative.

A Poem by Rebecca Hope Rouston
"

"And when did you stop...missing me?" - brandi carlile

"

To capture the meaning would be irrelavant

The cause is no one has a true definition

Infactuation, greed, passion, power, or sex

I stay because of her hope of a better tomorrow

Existing in a paralyse cycle of love and pain

Motivated by the slightest ounce of control

I would grasp to the idea of a fairytale

And listen to media instead of his true words

The release became less and less satisfying

As everyday he gained more of my being

Something about the past is not done

But every situation cannot end in perfect closure

Sometimes she indulges in acts of recklessness

And other times she decides I'm more worth it

I stay in love because she gives me hope

I'm still alive because she gave me a reason to be

The carelessness I feel when I'm staring into her eyes

Cannot be explained in this English language

I feel her touch down through to the bone

And I know the past won't keep me from her now

Captivating words, laced with fragments and feelings so deep and moving. Your work is a layer of complexity and character...
