Lights in the Sky

Lights in the Sky

A Poem by Westminster Abbey
"

See if you can find the hidden message... :)

"

I'm glad God made the stars,

For God is light.

Even in nighttime, there is still light.

There is still God.

He may seem far away,

But that doesn't mean He's not there.

It doesn't mean you can't see Him,

Or that He can't see you.

There is a young girl,

Who stares at the stars.

She is filled with pain and despair,

But God gives her hope.

For even in nighttime, there is light.

There is hope.

There is love.

There is God.

And He will always be there.

The Prince of Peace.

The joyness that ignites in us,

The Creator of the Universe.

The Creator of the Stars.

Westminster Abbey
Okay, I think I wrote this in like five minutes, so don't hate on me if it's bad. I was basically staring out my window, wishing I could see the stars, when the first line of this poem popped into my head. So I got on my laptop, and here it is! Please give constructive critism. By the way, this poem is dedicated to Nora Duncan, who needs some prayer and support right now. If you haven't already, you should add her as a friend! :)

It's beautiful, "Abbey"!! Love the faith in the end that allows for your seemingly quick piece to be memorable. Just dreamy.... real dreamy. Everything about writing poems that I enjoy, you employ in short supply, but a very honest one, and one that begs a knee to you. Loved it!! xoxox -Mark
