Melting unto the dance

Melting unto the dance

A Poem by Redolent Quill

Some things never change
Like the gleam in your eyes when you say ‘forever’
Like your breath pushing you from within
And you know this time its ‘now or never’
After you smirked and grew so down
The sheepish smile still bluffs
Its obvious you sneer at your freedom
Trying to undo the invisible cuffs
You were busy getting thick skinned
But you still get goosebumps
When you see your sketch on another canvas
Engrossed in life, doing its sums
You wake from what’s like a dream
Whats stranger, fiction or reality ?
The fascination triggered by a moist morning
Still takes you reeling into surreality
The music of the singing birds
Rustling leaves in the saffron facade of autumn
While martyrs and lovers, in complete likeness
Provoke a salute of solemn rhythm
Deja vu’s still happen in a hush
You weren’t really taking the clue
Reclined in the passive stance
Deeming the magic too fancy to be true
As time rolled the die, and years rolled on
Innocence of some smiles never fade
Joy floods you for the moments you are finding
Eluding you in inhibitions while they are made
Within, you are pure, in your own way
Made of stars , smelling of space
Some things never change
Life is just , it keeps up pace !
