Some people see distance
as a matter of time
between two seperate entities;
just a flat elongation.

I believe distance
is the square of eternity
multiplied by the infinity
of missing you!

My math is shaky too Frieda cause the last time I looked, eternity times infinity = 2. There's a long formula to prove this but if I put it here then I would get flagged for not using the "mature rating" and then there would be no equations for you to fall in love with; the earth would spin out of orbit and upend the universe leading to the end of everything... so perhaps I should just say, thank you Frieda, I found your review to be ... er... very "equational" ;o) (you know I loves ya Frieda)xo

Ah, I think about distance a lot, in many forms and on many layers...it never would have occurred to me to think of it in mathematical terms though, which is kinda funny considering my obsession with numbers...but I swear I have multiple personalities sometimes...ask me about anything twice and you'll most likely get totally contradicting answers on different days haha Of course, there are some obvious exceptions...those last three lines will certainly hit me on any day I read this...distance is definitely a form of emptiness, and you've driven that point home with extreme poignance here my friend...I really felt this one...nicely done :)

you are right of course, distance can be seen, understood, written about in many forms... so Steve, any one of your personalities would see this on any day and in any one or all of these forms... that's what is neat about poetry and about multiple personalities, at least in the understanding of distance, it's all mathematical.. er.. spacial, er.. empty... ;o)
