Sorrow's Ache

Sorrow's Ache

A Poem by redzone
"

*** loss is heart crushing***

"
Sorrow’s Ache

I feel sorrow’s ache.
Like a Sparrow
caught out in the rain,
I hear all the words said
as well as those unsaid,
but implied.
My feathers
          soaked
                dissheveled
weighed down by loss,
regrets and the daily workings of life.
I hear the tears of her music.
I taste the lips of her life;
I feel sorrow's ache.
***
In Sorrow's Ache,
a town just west of Grief's Melancholy,
it always seems to rain.
Yet, for some reason,
I can feel you,
the you that is you
wandering around in this grey,
disturbing the strings
vibrating my heart.
Funny, as even here,
soaked by Sparrow's tears,
I can hear and taste you.
      I can feel you.
***
Here in sorrow's tomorrow
there is a song I'd like to sing,
its notes from melancholy's violin
and carried on Sparrow's wings,
that never-the-less dances
with ocean waves
held by moon tides
crashing on your shores;
that shines like African Violets,
delicate purple flowers,
with fuzzy green leaves
and singing sorrow's
       I miss you.
***
I will allways feel you in sorrow's ache.

...thanks for reading... music was something she loved deeply and Mozart was one of her favorite composers... I will listen to this "Requiem" often...

Another beautiful poem. Your love and grief weigh equally in these poems -- eventually the love will be the part that shines brightest, in time.
One minor note -- just a typo (jusy)

Of course you can feel her....as I have said, you will always feel her presence and hear her words. Her memories are bittersweet refrains...melancholy and yet inspiring you to dance. The imagery in this is stunning....feathers weighed down. Grief makes us walk a little slower...feel a little older. It is all part of life unfortunately. Again, the emotions expressed in this one are so beautiful. Your love for your mom shines. Lydi**

I completely understand your message of missing someone and at the same time almost living with their essence following you around, as if to be found in the many vivid natural details you use in your writing. This could be a message about missing someone outside oneself, but also it could be about missing one's own self . . . the parts we lose over time . . . the flittering bird we used to be and so on, with all your lovely nature references I always love so much when reading you! (((HUGS)))

thank you Margie... happy you read and understood...
i've seen those sparrows...and they just look so downtrodden and moribund....
they need tender care to bring them back to the nest of life...

and love

really wonderful allegory, Curt.

they do look pathetic don't they... lost... thank you Jacob..
I can tell you loved her dearly...I wish I could say time heals all wounds...but that would be a lie. The only thing that I find that makes it more tolerable is to share more love. Hugs dear poet!
