Here We Are

....what could be....

Here We Are

 

 

In Hereville,

there are words,

snarky words,

expressing themselves in

opinionated sentences;

nouns and verbs dancing with

adjectives

in storybook fairy tales

with horrible endings.

 

Somewhere…. there is life unfettered.

 

But we all live in

Hereville,

a place where verbs

have taken over,

rule with tyrannical adjectives,

suffocating nouns,

with oppressive adverbs

and conspiracy sentences.

 

While in Somewhere,

with its proof based reality,

it is possible to liberate

nouns and adjectives from

their chains,

creating complete sentences

and write a whole new story.

A place where poetic spirit

meets realism and vision with

revolutionary force.

a world community

called Commuville.

 

The title of this story:

“Cast Away Illusions!

Dare To Struggle,

We Have A World To Win!”

And written by the masses

of humanity,

led by Bob Avakian’s

‘New Communism’.

thanks Jacob, I was hoping you would find the poem readable... to be honest, I was thinking about you and how you use metaphor to make a point in your poetry (even though you allow for more interpretation than these metaphors)... so in affect, you influenced me with mere words Jacob.... and yes, one of the things that make poets great and well known is that they 'liberate' not only words, but how people's eyes are opened and liberated from old ways of thinking.... and we act based on how and what we think don't we??
