To My Beautiful Darling

To My Beautiful Darling

A Poem by TheSkyWritesHerName
"

For Nate.

"

Console my soul, darling

Consume me whole

Contend the wars of my existence

Conceal the weapon to my back

And fire the arsenal at the treachery

Engrave eternity on every boulder

Enchant the carriage to my soul, darling

Consume me whole

Lure me to the shallows

Sail me to precious tides

Intoxicate me in gallant strides

Engage in my impurities

Avert the empty tragedies

Accompany me to my dwelling

Depart your darkness

And enter my light

Surrender to the plight

Release me into your liquid

Of sweet serenity

 Embark on this quest

Two lovers, one heart abreast

Console my soul, darling

Consume me whole

Although I am a victim of my own optimism, you sustain me through the thickest and brashest of conditions. I am certainly no Shakespeare and this is no fairytale; I am no Juliet and you are no Romeo but you are my living poem. Nathan, I love you in all the languages of the world.
