What is love? Can you put into words what it feels like to love something/someone or how it feels to be loved? It's hard to describe it other than love, love is love. We all use it and accept it, but do we truly understand it? How is it that this 4-letter word is used so often but we can't define it? Is there a difference in loving and being in love? How does my love for my grandparents differ from the love that I have for my pets? Is love all about saying it or showing it? In that is yet another question, how do you show someone that you love them? I often wonder to myself if love is really like what it is portrayed as in the movies, where it's like a firework of emotions flying out of your heart? Or is it just a mutual, platonic understanding of each others' emotions? And when we are in this beautiful, fairy-tale like love, how do we go from being with someone and saying these words, almost religiously, to having that feeling go away and having it find someone new? How do you stop loving someone? How do you even know you love someone? Is love sacred or just something society deems a necessity? We must all go and be with as many people as possible and say "I love you" a million more times than we can count, yet still search for our 'soulmate'. Find that ONE person that we are supposed to love for forever. But when that love goes to s**t, then what? How do we just pick up the pieces and find someone new to love, when you just had the love of your life tell you that they do not love you anymore. How do you get up when you've fallen out of love? Can you? Will you, when you know that history repeats itself.
