Queen of The Damned

Queen of The Damned

A Poem by Raven Wilson
"

>This is a poem relating more to the book than the movie.

"

A figure hidden in the shadows
hiding from the light,
Swiftly moving to my side
I put up no fight.

Bareing fangs of gleaming white
to sink deep in my skin.
A kiss so sweet to steal my breath
and make you whole again.

The life in me goes through you
as ambrosia and as pain.
Existence forced by hunger
and life forced by illusion.

But I don't mind
Destiny plays true.
Perhaps it was
I was meant to be killed by you.

And yet as i draw a struggled breath,
and as my heart goes slow,
Flowing warmth meets cool lips,
mercy is shown.

As I rise
My body dying,
I cannot help but see
the merciful man who sired me.

"Come at Once."
He calls and Becons me
He leads me to a ballroom
of change and beauty.

Drink Your fill of everything
life and all you wish,
Take more and more
with your Vampire Eyes.

Dance around the ballroom
the world our plane of life.
Sing and dance and move along
for no longer are we alone.

My sire and I,
Creatures of Supreme.
Over all Damned,
I, For sure, Am Queen.

Oh I love Vampire poems.. And you already know the title is perfect. The dark allure of the vampire is irresistible to mortals.. the gift over eternal life is beyond heaven. The mood of your words is brooding and passionate and you have a fine talent for weaving everything together to great effect!
