Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams

A Poem by Raven Wilson

I want to sleep on mountains of warm non-melting snow,

in a house made of gardenias, black irises and rainbow roses

that will never wilt or die.

I want to lay on a lounge of dandelions

in the sunshine and smell the sweet fragrance

that blossoms into the air.

I want to see a rainbow that is edible and sweet

I want to eat that rainbow,

and see it forever in my sleep.

I want to feel raindrops soft and sweet as sugar

and catch on these lips the coolness of winter.

I want the world to be as sweet as candy

and the rivers to flow silver.

I want perfection in this world,

I want it all to be equal

and so I'll live in my fantasy dream.

All cupcakes and sparkles,

Rather than face this American Dream,

rather than hear everyones screams.

I was smiling all he way as I read this piece, just so refreshingly beautiful.. your words here flow sweeter than nectar. You sprinkled a tad of reality in the end there which was neat.

I'll sit on that lounge of dandelions with you any time!
