A Feather

A Feather

A Poem by rhane118

A pond, a feather floating

serenely across

the surface of the mirror.

By chance it fell

from a white winged dove

and glided along

the Anemoi’s breeze

to land a top

the pond’s facade,

sending ripples across

the inky blue waters.

Forever it will float,

not light enough to fly

nor heavy enough to sink

to the deep, dark depths.

Like a little white boat

sailing past the pale pink lilies

for eternity.
