Falling

My heart is now sore

My eyes are now burning

My world is now shattered

My soul is in mourning

Falling into the depths of hell

Cruel laughter echoes behind

Not a soul to comfort me

Only sadness do I find

Dying dreams now over forever

The songs will never be heard again

Heavy eyelids shutting down

Darkness falls like drops of rain

With one last tear and one last whisper

I make my wish as fast as I can

And all you people out there on earth

I say, death is beyond any man

I wanted to write one on death. Inspired by the long group talk we had in the English period about the end of the world, on 21st December.

Death can be given, accepted, resisted, forced, feared. One can die, with a smile on the lips, with peace in the heart, with regret, satisfied, a bitter death, surrounded by loved ones, or perceived enemies.

You poem not only comments on death it also comments on the ending attitude of the person dying. I suppose any poem "on death" must reveal the perceptions of at least one human being. You chose a sad and forlorn person. Assured of some waiting punishment leaving no love behind. Very sad indeed.

This was a job of writing. I really like the picture you chose to use.

I'm into the dark things you could say. Laughter echoing as she enters the depths of hell is something that would soo bother me. Id be like freaking out cause that would scare me so much!!!
