Richard Glassman Memphis: Selected as one of Tennessee’s Top 100 Lawyers

Richard Glassman of Memphis, Tennessee, has led a highly successful career as a lawyer serving in many areas of practice, and he has received a multitude of awards speaking to his dedication and passion for his work. He has been selected over the course of many years as one of the top 100 attorneys in Tennessee by Mid-South Super Lawyers and has received the AV Preeminent Rating by LexisNexis in 2010, which is the highest possible rating in regard to legal ability and ethical standards. He has even received a Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Memphis, where he graduated from law school. He also served as an adjunct professor there, teaching courses on insurance law. In 2003 and 2004, he participated in a Federal/State Judicial conference by invitation of a sitting judge and has been selected as a Fellow for organizations such as the Litigation Counsel of America.

Richard Glassman Memphis has practiced law in many areas, including numerous types of malpractice, business and commercial litigation, insurance, estate/inheritance litigation, premises liability, and also high profile individual defenses covering defamation, sexual harassment, fraud, and more. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Defense Research Institute, the United States Senate Advisory Council, as well as the Bar Associations in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Nashville.

As a young person, Richard Glassman’s work ethic was evident in his numerous jobs that he took on to stay afloat in Memphis. Starting in high school, he sold bars of soap, shoes, handkerchiefs, clothing, and more. He also worked as a rental agent to put himself through college. He developed the skills very early on that he needed to be a successful professional.

Richard Glassman is also dedicated to playing his part when it comes to being an active member of his community. As a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Memphis, he has mentored a young man long-term who would eventually come to be an associate attorney in his firm. He has helped raise over millions of dollars for a variety of children’s charities, and he is always on the lookout to see what he can do to help make Memphis even greater than it already is.
