Gift of The Reason

Gift of The Reason

A Poem by Antonio Valentino

Gift of The Reason

Decisions

and paths,

roads out of

gas,

delights and

delusions,

the been of the

hath.

Instilling illusions,

one sided

intrusions,

cuts full of salt

lick,

spirit contusion.

The pole

in the vault,

mirage without

fault,

tip of the tongue

bath,

newborn conclusions.

The grass can,

be greener

the side you are

on

fade to reality,

fantasy gone.

The flash

in the night

box,

last kiss,

goodnight,

fate can be

fickle

when there is no

light.

No worries

or sorrows,

nor nary

regret,

sometimes you never,

can pay back

a debt.

You gave me

a reason

that night that you

sung,

thank you for willing

me,

forever young.
