The Distance

The Distance

A Poem by Ricky

I have great love for you

But then I have great hate

The hate is drawn in by the distance;

I sit here thinking of all the wonderful times we cherished together

But then I sit here thinking of all the times you are not here

For the distance;

I love the day we met

But I rue the day

I rue for the distance;

Only held apart by the distance

i think this poem speaks alot, even though little is said, and that is awesome :) well done :) x

I sensed two strong, contradicting forces in this piece. Whichever the persona favored would beat the other. It's like a tug of war. Interesting write.
