Paradox

Paradox

A Poem by Eleña ♥ Milan

I want you to show me every twisted, frightened thought you've ever had.
I want your eyes to crack my bones;
I want your words to tear my skin apart.

"Oh darling, what a tragedy you are." he whispered,
Parting those sweet, sad lips that can taste the acrimony.

And there I appeared; in such a brusque manner in your life, that I cannot be accounted for.
I learned how capricious your sadness was, and you knew how to equivocate your sorrows in a misleading manner.

hate the way you look at me, I hate the way you stare; and I especially hateall of the memories that went from being infinitesimal to outrageously large... That sing like a mantra in my mind.

But I also hate the way I miss you, I hate the way I love how your eyes burn holes in me. The way you're the flames to my fire, that ignites my soul iternally. I hate the way I don't hate you, and how maudlin I remain for you.

Our love is a paradox, and you're the type of person who makes forever seem too short.

I thought this was very good writing Elena. You have decribed very well the dichotomy of love/hate and the depth of emotion that is often involved in relationship. I particularly liked your statements that started 'I love how i hate'
Well done

"Our love is a paradox, and you're the type of person who makes forever seem too short. "
The above lines. Perfect and worthwhile words and thoughts. I enjoyed the complete poem. Love and life. A paradox of do or not. Love or hate and the damn mind. It won't forget or erase. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
