                                                          Enter darkest
                                                             winter chill,

                                  Whispers of midnight, sleep-tossed lament
buries shadows of never, dreams of tomorrow, ever deeper.
Sheets twisted with memories, as time questions sanity’s dreams.
Tears of secret sorrow fall, feeding the beast’ appetite.
Eyes mirroring the soul you gave to the dark,
as hope falls in silver starlight, forever night.
Midnight memory moans in throes of sadness
as echoes stir, the past returns to haunt
                                                 and grace the door with
                                                              I told yous.

                                                              Enter chill,
                                                                exit will.

Such a sad scary thought, or sight... I have felt this turmoil before and sometimes still do so it was easy to relate to this poem...
