The Seeker

The Seeker

A Poem by Bishop R. Joseph Owles
"

It's not a poem, but it's not anything else either...

"
I am not a seeker, but a responder.
I do not seek God, but God seeks me.
I am the sought; God is the Seeker.
I, when sought, respond to the God who does the seeking.
I either respond with a "yes" or with a "no"--
I either accept that I have already been found,
or I refuse to accept that I am no longer, nor have I ever been, lost.

I still have yet to hear him inside in that little voice. Maybe I just don't know how to listen?
