Complete and utter,

darkness surrounds all of us.

Silence is total,

victimizes everyone,

here comes night, with it terror.

Yes he is fearful and yet resourceful with himself. He has a hard time defining himself. That is the worse of the unknown, not knowing what pain means and suffering. Fear plays a role in everyone even in those who don't quite understand the points of fear.
