Being a Mommy

Being a Mommy

A Story by Amber Watson
"

Feelings about being a mother, in my prospective.

"

What is life like to be a Mommy? No one really knows all the things you have to go through. The many different tasks that you have to take to be truly called a Mother. I already know what it is like to be a mommy. It is sometimes hard and scary, yet it can be a blessing from God also.

Waking up when the baby cries isn't what most people like. To get up at all hours of the night to feed and change your newborn child. Sometimes you can get right back to sleep and other times you are up for hours. That is what being a mother is all about. The cuddling moments you get to have with your child.

I was 18 when I had my first child. I knew my life growing up had to come fast. They day I held my son in my arms for the first time was the most amazing moment of all. Feeding him and holding him it was all worth the wait. The midnight feedings and the times he was sick. That is what a mother is for. I was a young mother scared if that, I didn't know how rough it was really going to be. And let me tell you it is rough, your life changes at that moment. No more party's with your friends, or staying up late at night. Now is the time you have to change the way you lived and move ahead and be strom.

My other son came 1 year and 12 days after my first was born. I was so scared, I thought to myself "how would I be able to do this?" I really didn't know what to expect at this time, all I knew that it was double everything. The diapers, feedings, and the midnight cries. But most of all it was worth every moment of this time. The boys are and will always be my everythings.

Then I had my daughter 1 year ago April 11th. It was an amazing feeling to finally get a girl. I was scared to raise her knowing she is different from boys. I didn't know how the boys would feel about having a little sister around, since they have been the only children for a long time. It was all worth it though. They love and care about their little sister more then anything.

Life just couldn't get any better. It's rough at times having three children around, and trust me they fight about toys and who is touching who. It's funny at times watching them grow, the different things you learn as a mother and the new words they try to say. It's great to just sit back and watch them as them try new things. Being a mother is the most amazing thing in the world. No matter how old you are or how young. Remember they are God's gift from above. You have brought them here for a reason and no one can change that. Raise them better then your parents raised you, love them more then you have ever loved anymore. Most importantly give them all the attention they need. They love you and will remember every moment you spend with them.

This is just about me raising my children in my prospective. Not really a story just a little something I had on my mind.
