My words are simple,
but my thoughts are not

Some think it art.
Some think it rot.

But no matter what is said,
it is what fills my head.

Thanks. I have had others say my words are simple, which makes me think what I write is lacking. I write from my heart and my crazy imagination and don't know of any other way to do it. I want to be ale to have fun and enjoy writing and maybe be lucky enough to produce some good stuff while I'm a it.

Thats the best way to look at the art of poetry, and to me is the biggest indicator of a true poet. Write what you feel and or think, don't think too much about whether or not it will be 'good'.

Lovely short poem. I think you really capture how this applies to every single one of us writers on here. There's a certain element here (perhaps the rhyme) that makes it seem like fun - as though the persona/you (as the author) are teasing us.

Thank you for your review. I've been struggling lately and frustrated, so I have just started writing whatever comes to mind. I've also read reviews where people are told that the words they use are too simple. But we don't all think in metaphors, so is simplicity such a bad thing?
