I did not know
I had forgotten
love buried long ago

yet there you were
to remind me -

 

lips barely touching
the singe �" the burn
wrapped in a shiver
lightening fast
straight to toes
leaving a tremble
skin pressing skin
gravity slipping

no parachute to open
crashing down

 

sinking into  
bottomless ocean
in one flash flood
passion swelled
then retreated
sucking energy out
in the undertow

 

until only a salted
taste remains …
