While his story is intertwined with the rest of the Blacksad comic series, you are not required to be familiar with it in order to enjoy the game - you simply must be prepared for a hardboiled detective story of the highest caliber. Despite the fact that Blacksad: Under the Skin has some rough edges in terms of how it feels to move around the world and find clues, its reactive story (which has six different endings depending on your choices) is well worth playing for grizzled cat fans of all stripes.
