An Insidious Thing

An Insidious Thing

A Poem by Robin

Some try to measure it by the things that they have
Others try to measure it by the things they have done
Then there's the ones who measure it not by the things that they have, but the things that they want
Foolishly believing that once they attain
that all the time spent will surely not be in vain.
Prancing in next are the ones who believe
Believe in the gold and frolic in the green
Thinking that it lies in the riches it can bring.
Happiness is such an insidious thing......

Thank you for your review.
Happiness can't be achieved in achieving material things in life. It's insidious, you're right. It lies in our hearts and conscience...if we have satisfied them.
Good job!
