Tree

Tree

A Poem by Rob Taylor

In night’s moonlight

On a rounded hill

Where once there stood

A tree so grand

Its branches green

Reaching out to sky

Each year it’s seeds

Strong wind did spread

So far and wide

Across this land

More trees did grow

A forest stand

Then axe and saw

The hand of man

A tree no more

Once majestic tall

Now just a stump

Alone at night

I think I cried

The day tree died

I like this poem. Coming from the northwest it is sad to see our beautiful trees disappear. Good job Rob.
