Dear Dogs Of War

A poem about war and the damage it causes.

Dear Dogs Of War

Dear dogs of war, I am through with you

I have felt the pain your bites can do

Never satisfied no matter how much red

Bellies never full no matter how many dead

Leave the world torn ragged and stale

Breath and fangs from the fires of Hell

Blood lust eyes and claws of tears

Live off of the depth of everyone's fears

Dogs of war time for you to go

Where you came from down below

I know though you will never part

As long as mankind has hate in his heart

Incredible poem!
The comparison of war with a dog is absolutely justified and convincing.
Wars are useless; they really do nothing except killing people and destroying property. This reminds me of Shakespeare's sonnet, "not marble, nor the guilded monuments".
"I know though you will never part

As long as mankind has hate in his heart"
Wonderful work!
